MOTION DESIGN | SHAPE LAYERS | CASE STUDY
I believe that deliberate practice is the best way to master a craft. This project was developed as a case study to explore the limits of motion design using only simple geometric shapes. My goal was to transform basic elements into a complex, fluid animation through the careful application of physics and lighting.
Technical Highlights:
Bouncing & Timing: I applied classic animation principles to create realistic weight and momentum, starting with a simple circle to master the "squash and stretch" effect.
Advanced Shape Layers: using After Effects, I manipulated basic shapes and applied lighting and shadow effects to add depth and contrast to the flat design.
Fluid Transitions: the final result is a seamless loop where simplicity meets complexity, showcasing my ability to build engaging narratives through movement.
